Queensland Freemason's Scholarship

In 2026, UniSQ will offer one Queensland Freemason’s Scholarship to support a student continuing their studies in a bachelor’s degree program. 

The Queensland Freemason’s Scholarship was established in 2026 through the founding gift of the Toowoomba & District Masonic Council. This endowed scholarship celebrates the Freemason’s commitment to community support and education.
The scholarship will have a maximum value of $6000 to be paid in two instalments.

Applicants must: 

  • be a currently residing in Australia 
  • be their studies full-time at UniSQ in a bachelor’s degree program in Trimester 1 2026 
  • have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0, as at the release of results for Trimester 3 2025 
  • have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question): 
    • how have your academic experiences shaped your approach to learning, and how will you apply this to your remaining studies? Examples are encouraged.
    • describe your career goals within your chosen field, and the impact that you hope to make as a professional.
    • discuss your involvement in community service, extracurricular activities or voluntary roles. (optional question) 
  • provide evidence of your current financial circumstances. 

*Applicants will also be assessed on academic achievement.

*Preference is given to Freemasons, their children, grandchildren, and descendants of deceased Freemasons. 

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
